This blew my mind
The future is here.
You’ve probably noticed I’ve been sharing quite a bit about the future.
And you might be wondering, isn’t this a mindfulness hub?
Isn’t it about being more present?
Wouldn’t I be disinterested in all this “coming at you really fast, futuristic, sci-fi like innovation”?
Well, I’m excessively interested in the future and what is evolving – and you should be too.
If you’ve had your head in the sand, trying to avoid it because you’re either terrified or overwhelmed, and feeling out of your depth, it’s time to take a peak.
We are living through the biggest revolution that humanity has ever seen.
By 2040 (that’s only 15 years away) there are predicted to be 1 billion humanoid robots on the planet. That’s not far off how many cars there are on the planet right now.
You could buy a humanoid robot like this today for $16,000. Not a bargain at all, but if you consider that this is the worst and most expensive that humanoid robots will be, it’s a little unsettling.
This more sophisticated humanoid robot has just been revealed. It’s pretty creepy, but could also be quite useful.
Should there be ethics around using robots in this way?
What happens when these robots develop some kind of consciousness?
Is that possible?
If it is what rights should robots have and who will protect them?
These are the questions I’m thinking about.
There’s no going back.
The Neo Gamma Robot is not on the market yet, but it will be soon.
What do you think about all of this?
Would you like me to continue keeping you in the loop on what’s on the cutting edge of the future?
I’ve been doing a lot of research on this so if you’re interested let me know if you want more… or if you’d prefer to keep your head in the sand.
Warmly,
Elise
PS. If you haven’t filled out my survey here I’d be so grateful – go in the draw to win!
