This Moment of Courage Made Me Teary

Have you ever witnessed a moment of pure, natural courage that stopped you in your tracks?

This summer, while escaping to a country house, nature gifted us an unexpected front-row seat to one of natures’ profound moments. A bird’s nest, perched near our entrance, became our family’s daily source of entertainment and wonder.

Then came the day that changed everything.

We were sitting outside when it happened. The first tiny bird, driven by instinct alone, took that heart-stopping leap from its nest. Its wings, still new and uncertain, carried it awkwardly to the ground. Before we could process what we’d witnessed, its sibling followed – a second brave soul venturing into the unknown.

I couldn’t hold back my tears watching these tiny creatures face their fears. The second bird, clearly overwhelmed by its first taste of freedom, sought refuge in a nearby bush, its whole world transformed in a single moment.

It was so moving to witness this raw display of courage – that pivotal moment when instinct overcomes fear, and life changes forever.

It instantly transported me back to my own leap of faith, when I completely reinvented my life and career.

What leap would you take if fear wasn’t holding you back?

I’d love to hear your story.

Warmly, Elise

If you’re feeling fearful about the future and A.I and you’d love to step forward and face your fears and learn more about how you can use A.I to amplify your own effectiveness at work and in life – I highly recommend my friend Amantha’s A.I accelerator program. I am part of it and couldn’t recommend it enough.

"If we wish to be healthy, happy and clear-minded, we need to upgrade our “inner technology”of attention to meet the demands of our increasingly complex world. That's where mindfulness comes in.."
